Dr. Sharma has performed major vascular and general surgeries in the Valley since 1995. He is an active staff surgeon at two major hospitals - Banner Thunderbird Samaritan and SunHealth Boswell Hospital Center, where he currently performs lower extremetity bypasses, stent placement surgeries, surgeries of the aorta, AAA, carotid surgery, and other major surgeries related to the peripheral vascular disease.

He was trained by the world-renowned cardio-vascular surgeon, Dr. Edward Dietrich, the founder of the Arizona Heart Institute, in endovascular procedures, and graduated with a fellowship in vascular surgery from the Arizona Heart Institute. Since 1996, Dr. Sharma has been treating patients with venous disease by using the latest endovascular techniques. In 2005, he became the founder/medical director of Arizona Vein and Laser Institute & Cosmetic Surgery, where he performs EVLT laser treatment with excellent results. He has already performed over 700 EVLT procedures since that time. The center is specially noted for the treatment of leg ulcers and problems related to varicose veins in the Valley.

Dr. Sharma's surgical experience in multiple specialties has been a great asset in performing cosmetic surgery. Recently, he introduced traditional liposuction and Smart Lipo at Arizona Vein and Laser Institute & Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Sharma was trained in advance liposuction by Dr. Neil Goodman, one of the top ranking cosmetic surgeons in the U.S. Dr. Sharma has already performed numerous liposuction procedures in his office under tumescent anesthesia with very good results.

Dr. Sharma was trained by Dr. Shaffer, a pioneer in Smart Lipo. In 2007, Dr. Sharma acquired Smart Lipo from Cynosure Corporation to deliver better results than traditional liposuction. In a short amount of time, he has performed the greatest number of Smart Lipo procedures in the Valley - all with excellent results. Recently, Dr. Sharma was chosen by Cynosure Corporation to be a preceptor for Smart Lipo.
